Privacy Policy

for the Android app TIME CHECK Pro

1. Overview

TIME CHECK Pro (“the app”) records working times for processes. This time tracking data (projects, processes, times) is stored exclusively locally on the user’s device and is not transmitted to us or to any third party.

2. Automatically collected data

To improve stability and to understand how the app is used, the app uses Google Firebase:

• Firebase Crashlytics: collects crash and error reports (device model, operating system version, time of the crash, technical stack trace).
• Firebase Analytics: collects pseudonymous usage statistics as well as an advertising ID to analyse app usage.

This data is transmitted to Google and processed there. It does not contain any of the working time data recorded by the app.

3. Permissions

• Notifications: to display the running timer.
• Foreground service: so that time measurement continues in the background.
• Camera: used solely to scan QR codes in order to select processes. Evaluation happens live on the device. No photos or videos are captured, stored or transmitted. The camera function is optional and can be disabled in the settings.

No permissions for location, contacts or media storage are used.

4. Disclosure to third parties

Apart from the transmission to Google (Firebase), no data is passed on to third parties. The app does not sell any data.

5. User rights

Users can delete locally stored data at any time within the app. For information about, or deletion of, the pseudonymous data collected via Firebase, please contact the address given above.

7. Changes

This policy may be amended when the app changes.
